A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be remarkably easy in case you have a website hosting with us. You can activate this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the shared web hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you’ve set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you whether a certain mailbox gets all the email messages associated with a certain domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. In case there is active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you’ll get a warning text message from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated package with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you create using any domain hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this option will be to click on that icon. In the very same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you do not need it anymore.
